Tons O Fun!Jan 10, 2007
By Chipiparuba It's a blast. The Skylighter is a bit heavy, and more rigid than my Aerobie Superdisk, but it's also larger. So if you are opting for the Aerobie because of the Superdisk's soft edges and comfprtable catches, be forwarned. Other LED disks probably suffer from the same problems, although I have never used any.
I ordered three of them, and one of the LEDs on one of them is having problems, this is probably due to the fact that we played with it in a dirt field one night.
All in all a great toy and TONS O FUN!

One of the coolest flying discsOct 28, 2007
By Justin J. Stark This flying disc has been a lot of fun. The leds are very bright so you can play during day or night. I took this disc out to a bonfire and everybody was mesmerized by it. There are two leds that shoot light outward so the disc has an awesome twirling effect as it flies through the air. It runs on a flat watch-style battery and since it uses leds, I expect the battery to last a while. I definitely recommend this disc.

Will not last.Oct 12, 2009
By Jaret Beebe It was great for awhile, was even water proof. But after less than a year the light on the bottom fell off. It was only a cheap LED light affixed with cheap glue. Buy something else.

Cool application of disparate technology.Feb 02, 2008

Pretty cool... I am a fan of LED technology, and of course, who doesn't love "Flying Discs" - even if they aren't "Frisbee"? This disk is "even better", as it is made by the same guy who makes the Aerobee flying disc. And the Aeropress coffee maker, which I dearly love, but that's another review.
We got a couple of these for my sons and friends. It's light, stable, well designed -- kind of an improvement on the classic design. The better part is an addition of LEDs and fiber optics. Truly, I haven't PLAYED with these at night, as my nights of running around playing night frisbee are a bit remote, but the boys say that the units work well.
There was one issue with the mechanical design, but I think that it was a switch defect in that one unit. I contacted the vendor (Athlete 101) and they fixed the issue by sending a new unit -- without waiting until the old one had been returned. I highly recommend Athlete 101 for their service!
Greatest frisbee ever made!Jul 18, 2010

This Aerobie Skylighter frisbee is super easy to throw. It travels farther than most frisbees. It has a softish edge so it is easy to catch. Also, it is the brightest of all the light up frisbees and looks the coolest at night. The only downside is people constantly wanting to know where you got the frisbee. As far as durability, we've had this frisbee for a couple years, hit park benches, concrete, you name it, changed batteries once, and it is still super bright and going strong and hasn't changed in physical appearance at all. It is a quality product. I've tried nearly every lighted and non-lighted frisbee style disc made, and this is the best of the best.
