Handles rotted away after a monthJul 26, 2010 I had the slide covered by a tarp rather than put away in a case or box. Hot sun must have been too hot (AZ) and rotted away the handles to get up the slide. Going to go back to the store. Lesson learned--put away every time. I think that would be rather difficult to have done, personally. Don't purchase if you are somewhat reluctant to dry/drag a heavy item to put away every day in 100+ degree weather.
Best investment!May 23, 2010 We are going on our third summer owning this slide and it's held up extremely well considering we've had tons of kids on it each summer, all summer long. My son was 4 when we first got it, he'll be 7 this year and he LOVES it! My daughter who started scaling the side of it last year at 2 also LOVES it! Best investment we ever made. If you set some general rules for the kids to follow while using it and take care of it, it will last you. I'm sure we'll get at least one more summer out of it, if not more. You will not be disappointed with this slide!

Some fun, not worth pain to take downJan 08, 2010 We use to have a pool at our previous house before we moved and needed something for the kids for the summer. This seemed to have the best reviews of the products we looked at. I have not experianced any holes so far so I can say that it is sturdy. The setup of the slide was rather easy. Unravel, plug in, and the slide does its thing.
After setting up and filling with water, the kids were using it and having fun. This is the only good part of the story. The first issue I saw were that the plastic stakes were popping out on some sides and I needed to weigh them down with something heavier (I used a bag of sand mix). Another issue was the landing at the bottom. Ouch. The kids behinds were feeling it after a while. I ended up putting a outdoor furniture cushion under it. That was fun.
After the kids got board and got off, the real fun began. You need to unplug, let it deflate, dump the water, and then let dry. Often this process goes into the next day. Once dry, it really isn't, so you need to flip it over like pancake and let dry some more. Finally, you have try and wrap it up and store. It is like stuffing an octopus into a paper bag. Once done, you still need to put back the sand bags, the plastic stakes, and the furniture cushion. I am hoping for a hole so I can through it out.
KIDSLUVITSep 15, 2009 I received this waterslide from another retailer about 2 months ago after lots of research. Considering the negative reviews, I was not sure about this one. I decided to take a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Although I do agree with others that the bottom should be padded, we padded it ourselves. My sons (9 and 4) really enjoy this slide and have a blast on it. I made sure to ask them several times if the landing was hard. They insisted that it was not and that they were fine. It is larger and more durable than I anticipated. I hope this slide looks just as good when I take it out again next year. Make sure you dry it thoroughly. When the kids are done with their fun, we empty the slide of any water, dry it off with towels and continue to run the blower to dry it out. It did not kill my grass which I was concerned about. Overall, I think it was a great purchase.
