 It's an OK expansion! Doesn't dramatically improve gameplayMay 11, 2010
I have only the Hunters & Gatherers game. So this review is for only that part of the expansion (If you didn't know, this set has two small expansions, one ea for Carcossone (original) and H&G variant. The H&G cards in this expansion give the players holding them some extra powers. However, these cards are distributed at the start of the game and then never change hands - unfortunately, they are not of equal power. So, it doesn't make the game more interesting. It will be nice if you have to do something to "earn" these cards and then use them. We played it just once and then never touched it again.

First of all, it only has 12 tiles. I'd except more from a $[...] game. Not to mention 4 of those tiles are for a completely different game! The only use for those is for Carcasonne, Hunters and Gathers (Which is a totally different game, and costs about $[...])
The rest of the tiles, (8 of them), are actually pretty nice tiles. But, two of those tiles are just little tokens that you hold in your hand and grant you additional points, blah blah blah...
If this was maybe $[...] you should buy but otherwords it is a waste of money and shouldn't be bought unless your overobsessive with the game and you are willing to spend $[...]!

We have had the basic Carcassonne game for a few years and have enjoyed this expansion pack. It works well with both of the River expansions. Would be a good edition for people looking to add a bit more to their basic Carcassonne playing.

My children and I enjoy this Carcassonne expansion.
It contains 12 tiles. The box is just big enough to hold the tiles, so it is surprisingly small (about the size of a jewelry box for a ring).
The photo is somewhat deceptive. There is only 1 box, with blue on one side and green on the other.
This combination expansion has tiles for both the regular Carcassonne and for the Hunters and Gatherers game. In other words, you will only be able to use all of the tiles if you have both games.

This would make a perfect stocking stuffer for someone who has this game. Even though you don't get alot of pieces it really did add to the main game.
