I love Catan and this expansion only makes it even better. Being able to play with ships is great and then doing it with 6 people adds a whole new dimension. Longest Road can have the possibility of being 30 with this expansion and with 6 people you usually can still get at least 15 and be in the running just because the board can be so massive.

Sure they get you with the many different expansions, but I play this game every day, no joke, so its totally worth it. Everyone loves this game, and more people make it more fun.

If you're looking to buy this, you already have Settlers of Catan and Seafarers of Catan. This is a great expansion pack to a remarkable game that's fun for the whole family.

Excellent game. Takes Settlers of Catan to a new level. Not too much to make it confusing; but just enough that you have to change your game play strategy a little. We almost always play the Seafarers expansion now whenever we play Catan. Once you experience gold and island hopping, there's no going back!

I had purchased Settlers of Catan and loved it. I was looking to get an expansion and this one got the best reviews. Having played a couple of times now, I've really enjoyed it. It expands the original game without adding too many new rules or materials. Plus has a number of different island variations one can play, within Seafarers itself. If you loved the original Settlers, you'll love this one too!
