5not very "glowy" but still funJan 13, 2009

These are rocket missile refills for the Junior Stomp Rocket Kit. The missiles are all foam with little foam fins on the bottom. I guess they are a little easier to see in the dark than the regular colored rockets, but not overwhelmingly so.

The refill rockets are decent quality and priced well. I would recommend buying a refill set if you are buying the main rocket kit. The rockets tend to get stuck in trees, end up in neighbors yards or otherwise lost. Always good to have extras on hand.

5Why wait to use stomp rocket outdoors?Feb 11, 2010
By Joyce M. Eichacker "Train Mom"
We purchased the Ultra Stomp rocket (with the heavier rockets) and then a package of these Stomp Rocket JR glow in the dark rockets to use indoors (another reviewer recommended this!). This has been a source of great JOY and fun for our 4 year old! He is learning about angles and trajectory (without knowing it). We set up a target and he has to adjust the launcher accordingly...its a blast. He has aimed the rockets at the xmas tree, has accidentally hit glassware and other fragile items and has not (knock on wood) broken a thing. This is a great way to entertain the rambunctious boy who is stuck inside..As far as the glow - it doesnt last long, but its fun to try to aim these at a glow in the dark target!

5great fun! Very durable & portable.Aug 11, 2011

Great products, last well. Still fly well even once the little blue wings have been purposely ripped off by a child. We use these with the toddler air rocket launcher they are designed for.

3don't last foreverDec 06, 2011

My kids, ages 2-10 love the stomp rockets. They are not 100% durable, however. The foam fins on these come off after a little tugging by a 2year old, or a little use by a 5-7 year old (I know it's not necessarily geared for the younger ones, but if you have siblings...) They definitely need the fins for good flight. We havent actually used them at night so dont know about the glowing qualities. Similarly, the not-jr stomp rockets break around the fins if stepped on too much (which can happen when kids are runnig around in the driveway) Overall we like the stomp rockets because they are fun, and encourage outdoor play. If you buy a stomp rocket toy, you might want to get 2 so there's not too much fighting over them (including by the adults). We have both the Jr glow and the regular by J&L. The rocket-launcher itself could use a better "stand" design, but the kids adapt and work together to make it work.
