First Rate Toy!Dec 25, 2007
By Blue River My 4 1/2 year old daughter just opened this for Christmas. It is a first rate toy! It looks easy, but it is more challenging than it first seems. Some of the most difficult puzzles even took me a little while (and I'm an engineer). My daughter worked through the first 20 puzzles before deciding to move on to another Christmas toy. She was very proud of herself when she solved each puzzle. It is well-built and doesn't have too many pieces (which is nice for clean up). It is awesome for teaching logical problem-solving skills. This toy makes a great gift.

Lots of fun for 4 1/2 year old boyDec 10, 2007

"Happy Mommy of 4"
I had bought this for my 4 1/2 year old son for Christmas but ended up opening it early because we got bored one afternoon! We had so much fun going through the pages of the little booklet, completing castle after castle. He was better at it than I thought he would be, and he loved doing the harder ones and shocking me by doing it by himself. "LOOK MOM!!!" :o) The wood blocks are excellent quality, and they fit easily back into the box each time.

All ages love it!Jan 03, 2008
By Wendy T The product is recommended for ages 5+ but even my 1 and 3 year olds can play with it safetly. It does not contain any dangerous pieces and even though they are too young to follow the pattern-guide book...they spend LOTS of time creating their own castles!!!! My 5 and 7 year old love to follow the pattern-guide and then get creative on their own. This is a great hands-on educational toy for all ages and abilities. The pieces are well made and fit easily back in the box, even the 3yr old can find their proper space and put them away. I truly recommend this for families with multiple age levels!

Going on our 4th year with this toyJun 07, 2010
By M. Heiss I have a child who wakes up early and wakes everyone else up.
And now it's summer.
Castle Logix is a puzzle set we have had for about 4 years, and every now and again it turns up and saves the day. My little guy played with it by himself for about an hour (in one sitting) last week. Yay!
This toy is self-reinforcing. The player moves through levels of challenging puzzle layouts, trying to create the same 3-D castles as shown in pictures. The pictures are printed in full-color, and spiral-bound in sequential order of difficulty, with a little graph for mastery level progressing at the bottom. On the back of each page is the solution.
The puzzle pieces FEEL GOOD -- very smooth wood, very well made. The turret pieces are durable -- countless falls onto tile floors have not chipped the paint, damaged the wood, or caused them to break. The set comes in a high-quality box that has not been ripped or crushed in 4 years (that's some kind of record). The children can do it by themselves! It doesn't get tiresome -- like I said, they play with it a while, then put it away, then it resurfaces months later and it's all-new again. With only 7 pieces, there isn't much chance for losing pieces and ruining the game.
I like to play, too, it's a soothing way to spend time.
Best of all -- this is a great toy for the thinkers in the family, and the do-ers in the family, but even the TALKERS in the family (like my littlest) enjoy it.

Great Logic building toy. My 4 and 7 year old have had hours of fun!!Dec 04, 2010

This toy is great for both boys and girls and all types of learning styles. My son and daughter have two very different learning styles one is a tactile, visual and the other is my thinker and audio learner. They both sat down and played with this for hours! I literally had to pull them away as they whined and complained so we could eat lunch. Very sturdy wood blocks with painted detail not cheap vinyl stickers. We love it! I plan on this being my go to gift for birthday parties.
