Fantastic for insatiable children!Jun 06, 2008
By Q On one hand, yes, I could certainly come up with the general idea on my own. We still do, if we're caught somewhere without them.
However, it's the creativity and the sheer volume of these that make them irreplaceable. My 5yo has been playing for over a year now, and still begs to do so. Fact is: I'd have LONG since run out of topics off the top of my head (and likely never come up with some of the more original ones).
Categories include (but are not limited to):
Name all the things that have a . . .
Name all the things you'd see at the . . .
Name all the things that have a . . .
Name all the things that . . .
Name all the things that a ______ does . . .
Clap out the names of different . . .
Name all of the things shaped like a . . .
And SOOOOO many more. They feel endless (and since my 5yo's questions and need for entertainment/stimulation can also seem so, that's a good thing!). Add to that the fact that the cards themselves are nearly indestructible and come on a handy loop (to attach to a diaper bag, purse, whatever). Needless to say, we're VERY pleased (so much so that we've also gotten the Original set, the Challenge set, and the Travel set!)!
great communication starterJun 17, 2009
By twin mom18 I really love these cards. They have great questions that stimulate conversation. I also like that they are plastic and very washable.
