AAAAAWESOME for dice lovers! :)Oct 17, 2009
By Perksy I received this for a Christmas present many years ago. My much older bro taught me the card version, and bought me the dice version many years ago. I LOOOVE this!
If you are the kind of person who enjoys doing games that involves sequences, even a tad poker-like, then THIS is the game for you! Instead of getting a flush for suites, you go for all colors in a sequence. A couple of sequences involves having so many numbers in order just like using 5 cards for a straight in poker. There are 3 of a kinds and four of a kinds. But there are times when you would need to make 3 of a kind PLUS a straight in the same turn. But think of it as wild poker, where duces are wild or you play with jokers or you decide on the wild cards because in Phase 10, be it dice OR cards, there are Wilds you can use to bail you out. The awesome alternative is, unlike the card game, you can do this on your own if you wanted to play by yourself bad enough because you have no one to do the game with. But UNLIKE poker, you have a set sequence you do, and you're STUCK until you complete the sequence.
If you are looking for a game for your kids, I would say this game can be played by upper elementary school age without adult or teen supervision. It would be complex for younger or maybe even middle elementary school age kids to do this without help.
And this is cheap enough, baby! :)
Get the game for some rockin' and a rollin' fun! :)

If you like Yahtzee...Jun 01, 2005

You'll love Phase 10. Phase 10 is a dice game that follows a similar premise of Yahtzee, however, there are colors on the dice as well. As you work your way down the score card, you make combinations of numbers and colors... making sets (of the same number/color) or runs (consecutive numbers).
Like Yahtzee there is a bonus, however the bonus in Phase 10 is a first finish bonus. The catch is that once you move on, and start trying to make a match for the next item on the score sheet, you're not allowed to go back and work on previous matches.
Excellent game!! Additionally, there are some strategic moves you can discover if you pay attention to the way the dice are number and colored. Fun for everyone!
Kids Love ThisMay 25, 2011
By Reviewz My kids love this game and this version is so much easier for them to play with. The original version is a card game and it can get tedious for kids to try and hold and organize cards in their hands. This is s great alternative and moves quicker without hassling with the cards. This game is a lot of fun!
Phase 10Apr 27, 2011
By Timothy Donovan Great Game. Very easy to play. I have been playing it pretty consistant with my 10yr old son, and it has challeneged his math skills and has improved. only complaint would be the paint on the die wear quickly. Other than that its a really fun game, for 2-4 players!
Rename Phase 10 Dice Replacement KitJan 06, 2010
By Martin A. Davidow We bought 5 Phase 10 Dice Games to give as gifts. These are not like the original game. They did not contain the players reference cards, in addition the score sheets were so small and the type was illegible. This was a disappointment and we can recommend this as only a dice replacement kit not as a complete game.
