Love this toyJan 27, 2010
By L. Yingling Used our snow cone machine for the first time the other day. It was as adorable as I remembered it to be and my kids loved it. You definitely need an adult to crush the ice as it was too tough for even my nine year old.

The reviews are correct sadly...Dec 27, 2010

My son asked Santa for a Rock Polisher and Snoopy Snow Cone - the reviews that say how difficult this is to use are completely correct!! - I loved this as a kid but it was my parents that had to deal with it (I just got to eat the finished product) - after reading the reviews I knew I would still have to get it - if you find yourself in the same situation as I did (having to buy it) I did find one trick that helps HUGE!! - take a tray or two of ice cube and blend them to chunks of ice then run through this item - saves time...frustration for your child and yourself...and makes it much easier to do

Replica - Lets be realistic people.Aug 25, 2011

Ok. First off, this thing was a pain in the rear when I was kid to make a snow cones but I still enjoyed it just the same. The WHOLE point of this is NOT a NEW AND IMPROVED version but a replica a childhood toy! Hello. I can't believe everyone buying this is expecting it to be some amazing ice shaving machine, especially the people who had one when they were young. I bought this not to make snow cones but for sentimental reasons and the excitement to have a TOY that I enjoyed as a child. I personally am thrilled that its exactly as I remember as a child. If you want to make amazing snow cones, buy a real snow cone machine. If you want an replica of a TOY you may have had as a child, BUY THIS. I LOVE IT.

Clearly not the original, and utterly uselessJan 07, 2010

My poor wife purchased this as a gift for my youngest child out of nostalgia for the 1970s version. What a joke. Thoroughly poorly designed and made. Shaving mechanism consists of a flimsy plastic drum with sheets of dull steel riveted onto it, connects via a flimsy plastic ring to a flimsy plastic crank. It is frustrating for an adult to try to shave ice, let alone a child. For the same amount of money, one could buy a real electric ice shaving machine. The included "flavor packet" is powder that you must mix with sugar and water to make the syrup. Absolutely pointless.

Hasnt changed in 30 yearsDec 28, 2009
By Jennifer C. Green It is what it is. No improvements since 1970 when it came out! At least they could make a no leak top for the sticky syrup squirty thing! Kids still love it and the snow it makes is great!
