Fun and SturdyJul 16, 2007
By J. Merrill My kids love this doorway playhouse. It has many different features and they LOVE the doorbell. It's also nice for parents because it gives children a sense of privacy but parents can still see into their bedrooms. One thing to know is that the playhouse does not attach to the doorway it just sits against it so it is easy to move for when adults need to enter the room. Try going to Step 2's website to purchase. It's much cheaper than here and Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart wanted $70 to ship it and Step 2 only cost $16.99. I purchase one on the Step2 website for a total of around $75 including shipping.

This house is just adorable and compact....May 14, 2009
By Bladen's Mommy I purchased this doorway house for my 3 year old for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. He originally had the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Home when he was a baby and loved it so much that I just new that this would be perfect when he out grew it. This is so compact compared to actual playhouses. If your child loves their outdoor play house, then this would be a great indoor option or if you don't have an outside playhouse at all, this would be great. It promotes imaginative play. It features a little mailbox, door bell, window, and walk through-door. You can place it in the middle of the floor or in a doorway either one and it is stable. I hope this helps you with your decision.

this is a really fun toy, my doughter love this, she puts mail in the door, and it is really important that we are ringing in the bell before entering her room. But buy this at walmart instead almost onehundred dollars is way to much money, as always Walmart has good reasonable prises, you save thirty dollars....;) I highly recomend this toy.

I just bought this for my son's room and it is fantastic. Its very study but you might need to put something on the side of the door frame, like a small rolled up towel for it to fit securely. It's not necessary, but for my 2 year old it just a little bit more secure. The door frame is definitely shorter than the picture allows. I was kind of surprised by that but the girl in the picture is clearly bent over. My 2 year old has a couple of inches until he is the exact height of the door frame. Perfect for a toddler. He stays inside of his room playing with his toys in there rather than dragging everything out. It made his room funner for him. Its fantastic. And I its entirely made in the usa. I bought this from step2.com and it was only 49.00 and free shipping two days later right to my door will now buy everything I can from step2
Made a secret playhouse!Dec 09, 2011
By CarrieBeth I bought this door to be originally used to keep our dogs out of our daughters room when she was playing. It did work for that since the dogs are afraid of the door opening and closing and are nervous to jump over the bottom piece- strange chihuahuas! Anyway it was a PAIN in the butt to move back and forth for mom and dad to enter the room every time. This would be great if it had hinges to attach to the door so adults could enter easier. So I ended up placing it inside our daughters small closet. She has her own little playhouse that she is able to go in and play and the best part is it keeps a lot of the mess in her closet and not her room. Another plus- we are able to shut the door and the mess all goes away!!! I had to actually flip the door to do this so that the doorbell is in the inside of the closet vs outside, but my daughter loves going in and ringing her doorbell for me to open it. Anyway children rather be the one pressing the button instead of someone else doing it. I bought this for my daughter when she was 15 months old and I can tell we will be getting a lot of use out of it. Little pricey I feel for just a door however to have a playhouse that disappears when you are done for the day....priceless!
