 A door for door obsessed toddlersJan 02, 2010
My sons number one passion in life is opening and closing doors, so when I saw this Doorway playhouse I knew what he would be getting from Santa this year. He loves all the little doors, openings and windows that this "playhouse" has. I would say it was very easy to set up, however my door actually did not have the doorbell hole drilled into it so I actually had to drill the hole for it. Fortunately I actually had a drill, else my door would not have had a doorbell. The only thing I could say is I wish it had some way to actually hold it to the door frame, possibly straps or something, since it could essentially be tipped over but I have not run into that problem yet. Overall this is a great toy and my son is very happy with his own door.

We purchased this item as a Christmas gift for our great-grandsons, ages 3 and 1. They love it. Their parents have set it in a doorway for them to play with it and they have also used it as a free-standing toy. It works great either way.

I have 17 month old twins and they love this product! We move it around to different dorrways and they enjoy knocking on the door and answering it. While they might enjoy it more if it had more "noise makers" on it, mommy likes that it doesnt. It fosters their natural creativity.

This doorway came the very next day even though I chose the free ground shipping option. I guess it depends where you live because we happen to have an Amazon warehouse in Ohio. My son loooves this doorway playhouse. We have two doorways into our kitchen and since converting our dining room into his playroom, this doorway playhouse is the perfect way for him to get into the kitchen. He never uses the other "plain" doorway probably because it's just not that much fun!
Keep in mind that this toy does NOT attach to the doorway so it can be easily moved by a bigger kid, but not a toddler. My son has seen me move it to vacuum in that area and surprisingly, he has not attempted to move it himself.
Overall a great product that I can see lasting for years to come! Easy to clean and everything you'd expect from Step 2!
