2sturdy but wet!Feb 09, 2005
By Marianne Mcparland "smaugdragon66"
I bought this for my son about two to three years ago, and while it is very durable, the problem is that when it rains the water gets stuck in the bottom tunnel and also in the only area to climb up where their hands and feet go. The only other way up is the slide. It felt like it was always getting wet and filthy and I had to manually remove the pooled up water. There really is not much to do with this fort but walk across it and go down the slide. There is a covered area to sit in with two durable stools that can be moved anywhere, and a phone , chalkboard , and a pretend clock. I think the telescope out side on the end you climb up is cute but overall I did not think this toy was so much fun as my son seldom liked to play in it. I am sorry I did not get the other type of fort which has a slide and swings. I think the overall design of this product for all the money could have been much better suited for the outdoors. To be fair though, this product is very durable and withstood all types of harsh weather, as well as older children and their weight from time to time. I would not reccomend keeping this in a grassy area or near trees. I ended up giving this away to a family member who runs a day care in the hope she will get better use out of it than my son did. I am glad the first reviewer had the room to keep this indoors where it seems to be much better suited for play. I Hope this information is helpful.

4Great Climber, but Disappointed in Size...Apr 13, 2005
By A Mommy from Michigan
We just got this over the weekend for our 15 month old daughter and she loves it. She is able to climb the rock climber to get up there and already zings herself down the slide. Our daughter also already loves sitting on the little stools and "talking" on the phone. We got this item for much cheaper than Toys R Us sells it for, but it is well worth this price also.

The only thing we were disappointed about is the size of this climber. We had planned on letting her cousins(ages 5-8) also use this, but it is clearly for toddlers or very small children. The picture makes it look MUCH larger than what it really is. To give fair representation of size, my 15 month daughter just fits through the doorway from the bridge into the clubhouse without bending down a little. Also, her 5 year old cousin, who is just an average sized kid, had to maneuver his body to get into the little opening under the look out tower to access the bottom tunnel.

Overall this toy is great, but beware of the size.

5Love it!Dec 15, 2004
By Mommyto3 "Jenny"
We purchased this VERY LARGE climber for our children (actually, for our son right now, who is 21 months...our twin girls will love it later, but right now they're too young. The price is high, but well worth it if you have several children, a daycare, etc. We needed something for the inside since we are in the northeast and winters are too cold to play outside. It came in two HUGE boxes and we had to put it together, but it wasn't really that difficult. You do need another person to do it, and you really have to use force to get some of the pieces together. The instructions are a little vague, but we got it together, and it fits nicely in our basement/playroom (it pretty much takes up all the space though). What a fun toy! The clubhouse has little barstools, a memo board, and a "working" cell phone. The slide is fast but fun. Our 21 month old can go down it on his own (I have the foam interlocking puzzle pieces below it to cushion any falls). It also seems like it will hold his interest for many years, and it is very durable. I can climb on it, go across the bridge, and down the slide (I am roughly 150 lbs., the max is 240). I highly recommend this toy!

5You Won't Go Wrong With This One...May 21, 2006
By Luv My Baby
My husband and I were in search of a good climbing outdoor toy that was safe and durable. After months of searching and checking out reviews, we found this clubhouse climber. We liked it because the whole climber itself is enclosed and we felt our son was safe and would not fall off. There is a tunnel underneath, a bridge, clubhouse complete with phone, table and chairs, there is even a small chalkboard, clock and skylight inside. It is just perfect for a two-year-old. It is always a hit when his little toddler friends come over that they don't want to go home. I recommend this, it is really a great toy and just what we wanted.

5Love it!!!May 09, 2005

This toy is awesome! My daughter is two years old and she adores this toy. Our neighbors, ages 3 and 1, enjoy it too. I'm sure it would have been easy to assemble had just one person attempted to do so. Instead, four adults (while supervising 3 toddlers) went at it and it took HOURS! But, seriously, it was our own fault - too many cooks in the kitchen.
