 Great sandboxJul 01, 2010
We have had this sandbox for a couple of months already and are happy with it. The lid is great for keeping the sand clean and withstands strong winds. The box can hold a lot of toys, including balls.

I am very pleased with this sandbox. It is sturdy, sized great for even kindergarten children and the lid stays on, just like the other reviews have said. It is nice looking too. I placed it under the slide of our swingset for the grandkids. That helps to shade it some because in the direct sun, that sand gets very hot, so be careful to check before putting your little ones in.

My granddaughters like it and spend a lot of time playing there. Unfortunately I bought it just week before it goes less expensive. Anyway I am happy with this purchase especially because this sandbox comes with a cover.

So who's really the judge on this toy, me or my smiling daughter. She loves it, she walks over to it and bangs her hand on the lid signaling that she wants to play in the sand box. So for her I'll give it 5 stars.
I'll give it 5 stars as well, it's sturdy and well made. The lid is great to keep rain, leaves and other elements out. The air holes on the sides are nice to keep air circulated under the lid.
You can't go wrong with this sandbox.

We bought this sandbox for our 20-month old son and he is in love. He now looks at the backdoor and says "Outside! Outside!". So far it seems like a sturdy sandbox. I like that it is considerably bigger than the standard turtle sandbox everyone carries. His friends can come over and play and there is room for everyone. I've even sat on the little blocks on the side and played with him. We filled ours with 140 punds of crayola sand, which was a little pricey. It could definitely take some more sand but with the price being so high and our son's tendency to throw it out of the box, we are making do with the 140 pounds. The lid seems a little light and doesn't attach in any way so we put a rock on the top to weigh it down in case of strong winds.
