Great for variety of ages and attractive to adultsJul 18, 2009
By Crispy Our almost 3 year old son was thrilled when he got this climber today. He can climb the small rock wall but not the tall one yet so there's room to grow. A friend's 15 month old had fun climbing up the stairs and down the slide repeatedly, and our 5 and 6 year old neighbors kept climbing up and jumping off, having a ball. All in all, a great climber for a variety of ages. It was a hot day and they all liked taking a break by laying in the shady "fort" underneath. The colors are really nice and it blends into our yard and patio well. Now we just need to get mulch or something for underneath of it.

Step 2 Naturally Playful Woodland ClimberAug 23, 2009

Absolutely wonderful investment for my grandchildren. It's in our family room where we all gather so the kids are interacting with everyone while having a great time. My 2 year old grandson climbs, slides, and hides while his younger brother plays below. We used the cushioned blocks under the playset to give them a safe spot to land. I'm so happy we made this fun, durable, engaging purchase.

can't say enough about this climber!May 13, 2009
By eljaydubs i really did my homework before purchasing this climber!! i wanted something that wasn't too small, was durable, and just plain fun. we have had this about a week and i am beyond happy that i chose this one. i put it together myself (with very little experience) in about 5 minutes! no joke, it's that easy!!
my two year old and his slightly younger cousin have PLENTY of room to play together on this climber, and i love the fact that they can grow into it a bit (with the rock wall sides, which are too difficult for them at the moment). my son wants to play with his "park" (that's what he calls all climber-like play-things) all day. i may make the bottom part a sandbox but for now he just climbs under there with some toys or "hides" there.
he has a fascination with throwing things into water, so i put his small wading pool next to the climber and he throws things from the platform into it. he also loves climbing up and going down the slide (which is the perfect length, not too short like some of the other climber's seem to be)...all in all, i am so thrilled with this product and will definitely buy more step2 brand items in the future. great buy!!
(babyage's shipping cost is also second to none...product was pretty much on time-just one day late, no biggie, and i think this was due to the shipping company, not babyage-they say to allow 4-5 days and the ship date was consistent with that. the climber also arrived in absolutely perfect condition. i have paid much more for shipping to find my product arrives with a box in pieces and parts bent! will definitely buy from babyage again also.)

several years of fun for our daughter- also a wonderful pool slide for little onesApr 21, 2011

This climber/playgym has provided hours of fun for my daughter for several years. We first bought it to replace the Step2 house that she outgrew, and we had it in the corner in our living room. After my daughter started playing outside more and more, we moved it out back to the lanai where it now serves as both a hideout and a slide for our pool.
My daughter LOVES her "castle" and even though she is getting a little bit too big to fit through the openings and can scale up and down the entire gym with just a few moves, she still spends a lot of time playing on it, and she also spends many hours curled up in the little space under the climber watching movies or reading, or up inside the top space, playing with her toys and enjoying the sunshine. And when she swims in the pool, she's up and down the slide all day.
The climber has lasted through several Florida summers, with blasting rains and high winds, and has resisted mildew, intense sunlight, salty sea air, other environmental factors. It's a powerhouse- I wish all things were as well made and durable.
My husband was able to put it together in a very short amount of time, and it was perfect for my daughter from ages 2-5. She's a little big for it now, and can climb all over it, but like I said, she still plays with it on a daily basis.
Great toy TOTALLY worth the price for toddlers and pre-schoolers.

Perfect Toddler Slide and ClimberJan 17, 2011
By Kathi Sigelman We have a 19 month old active toddler who absolutely loves her slide. I researched a ton of climbers for the holidays and settled on the Step 2 climber after reading a number of positive reviews. I'm very happy we did. The climber is constructed of sturdy plastic and assembles easily. I gave myself a hour to build it but finished in 20 minutes.
One thing I love about this climber is that once my daughter is on the platform, she is unlikely to fall off accidentally. there is a portal on top of the stairs that prevents toddlers from falling off the climber, I was a bit worried from other designs I saw. Our daughter is able to negotiate the ladder easily, even though she is young. She even tackles the climbing walls with assitance. The slide itself is steep enough for a bit of thrill for the kids without being too tall. She loves the "fort" space underneath the platform.
Overall this was a great value for toddlers and should bridge the gap between the real "baby" slides for 1 year olds and a more substantial playground set for school age children.
