Challenging, but not too muchMay 02, 2008
I bought this puzzle for my wife as a gift. She loves it. At 500 pieces, it is pretty challenging for a first puzzle, but not too much. It is nice looking too.
On the down side, one of the pieces of one of the puzzle pieces broke off. It isn't so bad, but I notice it almost every time. It is the reason for the low durability rating.
So, get this and spread it out on the family room, living room, or dining room table. It is great for when company comes over: everybody gets into it. It's surprising how many people get mesmerized by it. Now, if you, or your friends, have small children get one of those roll up puzzle mats so you can easily move the puzzle out of their reach for a short time. We made the mistake of having a house full of little ones over with friends and they got so excited by all the little pretty pieces that they "splayed" onto the table top spewing puzzle pieces everywhere. So all the previous work was lost. The good thing though is that our friends helped to put some of it back together. So it all worked out!
