Thank God for the clue sheet !! LOLJun 23, 2008
By Anne-Marie Serre This little puzzle is very challenging and I must admit I gave up and went for the clue sheet and STILL needed a while to complete it ! It is fun to have two challenges (i.e.: one is to place all the people facing the front of the raft and the other is to place them facing the other end... thus making two different puzzles....)
The fact that each piece is uniquely identified with a letter underneath helps greatly if trying to complete the puzzle without the clue sheet (you can take notes on the combinations you tried that failed, etc...)
It is also worth noting that the puzzle can be "played" at a lower level of difficulty by simply attempting to place all the people in the boat with no regards to orientation, thus making it suitable for younger kids for instance... (the pieces are quite small though, so it is NOT for very young children...)
Overall, a lot of challenge and fun in that "innocent" looking puzzle!

AddictiveDec 09, 2007
By Jim I have had many a teen ager go through our house to pick up this puzzle only to sit for hours trying to figure it out. I gave this puzzle to my in-laws and they told me that they had a fellow say to them that he wasn't going to leave their house until he got it put back together. Of course it may be possible (closer to impossible) to put it together by random chance , using the process of elimination is a big help.

Tough but funNov 27, 2005
By John Myslinski This is a tough puzzle, fun for the whole family. If you have someone that enjoys difficult puzzles this one is pretty cool.

Too EasyDec 14, 2010
By meagan I am a huge fan of thinkfun games because they are very educational and get kids to think "outside of the box", this however, was probably the worst Thinkfun game I've purchased. Unlike most thinkfun games, where you progress through different levels, this one only has one solution, which is difficult to solve so takes about 15 minutes, but once the kids find the solution the game is useless and boring. ThinkFun Rush Hour is a much better game to buy because there are multiple levels and once you have mastered them there are expansion packs available.
