Treasure or mixed bag?Aug 26, 2010

If you own all the related games, the Treasure Chest bulk-expansion box is quite a value. If you only own one or 2 of the related games, it's hard to justify the price. It is worth noting that many of the expansions are tiny -- barely more than a few playing cards or set of tokens. Perhaps more frustrating, not much attention was paid to the cards during production. The San Juan expansion in particular is almost inexcusable. Its playing cards are not a color match for the game it is expanding AND the cards contain typos and significant grammar errors. In short:
FAN MADE TRANSLATIONS AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET ARE SUPERIOR!
As a game publisher and game player, I must admit I am disappointed in the quality here.
