Strategy games are board games and card game that offer a component of building tactic and plans to outwit you opponent. German style board games or Eurogames are often considered some of today's best strategy games. These style of games are what you would call gamers' games. Most strategy games last longer than your typical family game, many of them will last between 45 and 90 minutes with some games lasting several hours. The best strategy games are generally built around a theme and require a good deal of thought and planning in order to win. With strategy games, luck and chance are always held to minimum. Today's most popular strategy game titles include the Settlers of Catan, Puerto Rico, and Ticket to Ride.
